Otley Tap House, Otley

PAW POINTS: 10 out of 10. Love it here!

Date of first visit: Been a regular since 2022.

My Dad always tends to park in the same place in Otley if he can the usual spot. And I have my own routine here too and know exactly where I want to go.

I always jump out of the car enthusiastically and every time – regardless of where we are heading and what we need to do first – I will try and drag the humans across the crossing to head to this fantastic bar.

The staff are warm and welcoming and always greet me with a smile and a belly rub and I sometimes bump into my fellow Tap House regular Frankie the dog who is often there are the same time. My humans always bang on about how nice the lighting is and how good the music is.

There’s a upstairs too (never been up there) and there are big screens if you want to watch any sport. But the TV or music are never on at full volume so you can still chat and one sound doesn’t drown out the other.

If you head to the outside area at the back you’ll find more seating with heaters and another screen. But best of all out the back is a van. A converted Airstream van that provides the most delicious burgers this side of the Pennines!

You can eat them in or you can take them away to eat at home. They’re delicious. You can order vegan, veggie and gluten free options and have gorgeous sides on offer too such as Cajun fries, mozzarella sticks or onion rings.

Dogs are so welcome here and the lovely people make me my very own small dog friendly sized patty to eat. Delish!

Once I have finished my patty, I love to just chill out and watch all the comings and goings in this warm and welcoming bar. It’s fabulous and is my most favourite place in Otley.

Recommend it to the humans! Small humans are very welcome too.
