Three Cottages Cafe, Meanwood

Meanwood Park is part of the Meanwood Valley trail and in my opinion is one of the nicest spots in Leeds. There’s a lovely playground for the children, large areas of green spaces for me and my other four legged buddies to race around and pretty bridges at various points where you can cross the stream. The park is surrounded by woods. It’s always busy, especially on nice days and it’s one of my favourite walks.

Perched on the edge of the park is the Three Cottages Cafe. I love this place! It’s family friendly, dog friendly and the food is gorgeous. They sell a range of snacks and have lunch and dinner menus. I’m told they have a nice range of snacks and meals for small humans too.

My humans have been here without me for evenings out…. how dare they?! 😀

It’s been renovated in recent years to an exceptional standard. It’s spotlessly clean. You can sit by the window and look out over the park or you can sit in a cosy booth. The staff are great – friendly and attentive and we have always found the service very good. The lighting and atmosphere is lovely.

Got to recommend the PupCups – they’re gorgeous! And after some fuss from the staff, I go into the park to make some friends and have a run around.

There are also outdoor serving areas if you want to grab food to take home and I am told they also do functions and have live music nights.

Parking gets full quickly so get there early if you can. There is street parking but again, it gets busy.

We are very lucky to have this wonderful park on our doorstep and the Three Cottages Cafe is a fantastic destination to have a well deserved break if you’re doing the 7 mile Meanwood Valley trail.
